Nick Robert joined The Private Brokerage at Compass in 2019 as Executive Director working alongside Brian Dougherty, his partner of 15 years. Prior to The Private Brokerage, Nick served as part of the senior leadership team for Restoration Hardware in Boston, where he was the Gallery Curator responsible for visual merchandising throughout the region. During his tenure, Nick hired, managed and mentored dozens of associates and traveled across the US and abroad working with VIP clients of the company. He also collaborated with his Curator counterparts in other markets as a member of the launch team to help open over 1 million square feet of new retail locations including Chicago, Atlanta, Tampa, Scottsdale, Greenwich and New York. 

 

Prior to RH, Nick was a managing partner and co-owner of a boutique inn on Cape Cod and a licensed real estate advisor with Robert Paul Properties, a luxury residential brokerage. He has also successfully redeveloped several significant residential properties over the years. Nick holds a BA in Economics from Bates College and a MFA in Design from NYU. He and Brian live in Cohasset with their son Henry and Newfoundland dog.
